LG Electronics revealed its Montevina-based notebook called LG R510 in Korea market. Adopting Intel Core 2 Duo T9400(2.53GHz) processor, 4GB DDR2 memory and NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS, this entertainment notebook is designed with a pattern of ‘Sunrise Gradation’. Other features included ‘Smart Recovery’ function, HDMI and e-SATA ports.

LG Electronics launches its 2.5-inch portable hard disk drive called XD1 in Korea market. Coming in Red Wine and Black Pearl colors, the XD1 features a stylish design with sunrise gradation. Equipped with a SATA II interface, it is available either USB 2.0 type or USB + e-SATA combo type. For now, we’ll have to live without a price or release date, but you can look forward to units arriving in 120GB, 160GB, 250GB and 320GB sizes sometime in the future.
A new tablet from Fujitsu has been spotted thanks to some Virginia Tech engineering students. It seems the University Bookstore has information on ordering the new LifeBook T5010 Tablet PC for this coming 2008 school year. The T5010 is claimed to be the successor to the T4220 tablet.
Also under the hood is WiFi a/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a dual-layer DVD burner and integrated Intel graphics. A webcam lurks up in the screen bezel, as does a fingerprint reader. Ports include three USB, VGA out, LAN, Modem, Microphone In, Headphone Out, and the whole unit measures 12.5 x 9.6 x 1.4-inches and weighs 4.4lbs.
Interestingly, the T5010 is down as running Windows XP Tablet Edition, which seems unlikely as Microsoft have previously said that OS won’t be permitted on new machines. Since most versions of Vista now have pen-input functionality, it’s far more likely that Vista Business will do OS duty.
Virginia Tech have it down as starting from $1,999, with delivery at the beginning of the new academic year. It’s unclear what level of institutional discount has been applied to get to that price, and aside from the presentation slide Fujitsu themselves are keeping quiet about the new convertible.
BenQ has presented its fashionable notebook called Joybook S33 with a distinctive Victorian Style vine motif, while introducing its strategic products for the 2nd half of the year at the Product Demonstration 2008.
Its 13.3-inch screen features BenQ’s UltraVivid technology with DBEF(Display Brilliance Enhancement Film) that enables increased screen brightness and sharpened details.
Running on Intel Centrino 2 Processor, the S33 supports Wi-Fi, IEEE 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Other features included SRS TruSurround XT technology with a built-in 1.5W stereo speaker and a 2M webcam. It comes in two different colors such as white and navy.
