Apple Inc. (AAPL) is planning to launch a netbook computer with a touch screen monitor as early as the second half of this year, two people close to the situation told Dow Jones Newswires Tuesday.
The mini laptop computers will likely have monitor screens that are between 9.7-inches and 10-inches, one person, who declined to be named, said.
Another person said other specifications and functions are still under evaluation.

as rumours on the net, Apple is building a new search engine to perhaps rival Google. At firs glance, the rumors make sense. Apple's Safari Browser has 6 - 7% or market share, and currently uses Google as the search engine for both standard and iPhone versions. TechCrunch.Com has looked into the possibility of such an accurrence, possibly due to the fact Apple will be less than happy to see Google intending to eat some of its markets share with the Android range, and thinks thre may be a ring of truth in the tales.
Also, Apple can't be super pleased with Google's competition to the iPhone with Android.
